Program: Jill and Jennie presented a slide show and talk on their trip to the Rotary International Conference in Korea.  45,000 Rotarians attended.  Africa and Asia have the greatest rate of growth in Rotary, North America is declining.  Many clubs had their Rotoract with them.  Many Districts had identifying clothing to help their members easily find each other. The UN Secretary General spoke as did many dignitaries.  At The Hall of Friendship projects were displayed from Districts throughout the world as well as presentations from affinity groups (such as musicians, bicyclists, etc.)

The hotels were far from the center of the city so a daily 90 minute one way commute was common for our intrepid travelers.  They survived cab and bus rides without maps and locations clearly written in Koran.  They visited local cultural sites and were struck by the Palace Museum.  They met Ikuyo and she fested them with a lunch including 40 members from her District in Japan.
World Vision, a Christian relief mission is very active with Rotary and often takes over to sustain projects long term after they are started by a Rotary District.

Jill stressed to sign up for Atlanta asap, especially for rooming.  Hotels are filling up.  The dates are June 14 to 19.  Myrotary.og has the details.
