Rotary Club of Englewood's 90th Anniversary

As well as celebrating our 90^th anniversary, during which we will enjoy a sake & sushi cocktail hour (cash bar also available) and live auction, we will also be honoring baseball legend, Bobby Valentine, for his ongoing work in support of disaster recovery in Japan. 

The Englewood chapter of the world’s largest service organization, Rotary International, boasts 50 + active members, more than half that number being female, who are committed to the Rotary philosophy of “Service above Self.”  Over the past decade, the Rotary Club of Englewood has provided over $250,000 in charitable donations to local and international causes.  It has supported more than 20 families in the Gift of Life program which provides life-saving surgery to children in need.  The club raised $14,000 to support a clinic in Koriyama, Fukushima, a community devastated by the 2011 tsunami and then raised a similar amount in 2012 to support our Rotary District’s ongoing support of victims devastated by Super Storm Sandy. 

In addition, the club’s list of local community projects is long and growing and is focused on unmet needs, such as building Englewood’s earliest Little League fields in 1982, to enhancing the public school experience by providing scholarships and exposing high school students to career opportunities and business leaders.  We also provide dictionaries to all third graders in Englewood’s public and private school districts. 

We invite and encourage you to share in our 90^th Anniversary gala dinner.  All proceeds will be returned to the community through a variety of grants and donations to local organizations (listed on the reverse) as well as to disaster relief efforts.  Please return the attached form, indicating how you will participate.
