The Nominating Committee announced the names of the new Rotary Officers for 2016-17: Jill Abbott, President; Jennie Katsaros, President- Elect; Jay Wolf, Vice President; Sue Fetner, Treasurer; Devry Pazant, Assistant Treasurer; Joe Klyde, Sergeant at Arms; Janet Sharma, Secretary. The officers will be installed 6/21/16 at the Installation Party at Florence Marchi's house.
On Wednesday, May 18th, the Walter Head Foundation will host the annual Presidents Ball. The Ball will be held from 6:30 to 10:30 at the Westmount Country Club. The cost to attend is $125 per person and checks should be made out to “Walter D. Head Foundation” and mailed to PDG Emil Geering, I Nydam Lane, Wyckoff, NJ 07481. Please put “Rotary Club of Englewood” on the check.
District Assembly: May 21, from 8:30 to noon at the Trinity Presbyterian Church, 650 Pascack Rd. Paramus. This assembly is a must for all incoming Rotary Presidents who will vote on next year's District Budget. Club Secretaries, Treasurers, AGs and Committee Chairs are also invited. Beautifying Englewood: The Interact Club, working with Vickie Brown, will begin developing gardens in areas around the city. Vickie asked anyone with gardening experience to join.
Church Restoration Fund: Jim Cole continues to collect coins for the church restoration on behalf of the Interact Club.
A reminder: Our Rotary Business Mixer Get Together is ongoing for the last Tuesday evening of the month at the downstairs bar area—5:30-7:00.
